The origins of our Company can be traced back to 1957 year in which our founder Josep Musquera i Sais bought a delivery van for transporting furniture, since in La Garriga - his place of residence- there were many furniture shops. Little by little, larger vehicles were incorporated. Also his sons Josep and Manel Musquera i Cunill joined the company. In 1964, a decision was taken to rent a 135 m2 warehouse to facilitate loading the trucks, as in those days, loading took place directly from the factories to destination. In 1968 when Jaume returned from his military service, he established himself as a furniture sales representative (profession in which he is still active).
- In 1975 the decision was taken to build the first facilities for the company. The 1,000 m2 warehouse had 6 loading bays which allowed for loading and unloading 8 vehicles at the same time. Years went by and in 1982 adapting to new regulations, the Company was named MUDANZAS MUSQUERA, S.A., also the trucks had to be adapted and a system for interchanging the bodies was implemented whereby they could be loaded without the trucks having to be present. In 1986 Josep Musquera father died, leaving his two sons in charge of the Company.
- In 1992 when Josep Musquera son, decides to leave the Company, his place is taken by Xavier Musquera, Manel's son. At that time due to expansion and to the excellent service that our company was offering, our premises became too small at the busiest times. So in order to continue offering our clients the best quality service, new premises were designed. During those years, our fleet of vehicles consisted in twenty trucks and three trailers.
- Our new 7,000 m2 facilities were inaugurated in 1994, custom designed and built for saving loading and unloading times. To maintain the quality of the products we handled intact, rolling cages were conceived, for separating and moving the products without damaging the goods. In 1999 the logistics division, MUSQUERA LOGISTICS, S.A. was created.
- At the beginning of year 2000, only six years after, due to our high degree of quality service, once again, our facilities become insufficient. The company took up the challenge and a new warehouse was built. The new premises consist of 15,000 m2 of which 7,000 m2 were built at ground level, and 3,500 m2 upper floor. Our own fleet now consists of 40 trucks and 20 trailers.
- Musquera is a third generation family company, its founder Josep Musquera, set up the path to follow, and as it can be seen throughout the years, innovation for the benefit of our clients is our policy.
